The Fashion and Textile Museum is the only museum in the UK dedicated to showcasing contemporary fashion and textile design. The Museum was founded in 2003 by Dame Zandra Rhodes, an icon of British design, with the mission of preserving the work of her contemporaries, across British fashion and textile design.

Over the last two decades, and under the ownership of Newham College since 2007, the Fashion and Textile Museum has broadened its mission. Today, the Museum has staged over 30 major exhibitions, featuring British and international designers, artists, and brands and is dedicated to the celebration and exploration of textiles, fashion and related disciplines.

The majority of our income comes from you: our visitors, learners and supporters. Every penny of income you help us to generate is put back into the running of the Museum – into producing our exhibitions, running our education, volunteer and digital programmes, and conserving our collection. We can’t do this without you and the support you give us. Find out how you can support us.

Donors makes a real difference and the Fashion and Textile Museum relies on the generosity of supporters who share our passion for fashion and textile design.

Your donations help us to continue creating high-quality exhibitions and educational programmes and continue our work as the only museum in the UK dedicated to showcasing contemporary fashion and textile design.

At this challenging time, your support is needed more than ever. Support us with a one-off donation or a regular amount.

Adopt a mannequin

In April, we will be opening our upcoming exhibition Andy Warhol: The Textiles and we would like to invest in 39 specialist mannequins to ensure these previously unexhibited garments are beautifully and expertly displayed, supported, and cared for.

Help us raise £10,000 by adopting a mannequin and securing fashion and textiles for future generations. #fashionandtextilesforever
